A woman, aged 46, was taken into custody after a fire erupted in an HDB flat located at Block 512 Wellington Circle in Sembawang on June 30. Emergency response teams were alerted to the blaze at approximately 5:15 pm.

Flames Consume a Bedroom

The inferno was contained to the bedroom of a unit on the 10th floor. Firefighters swiftly tackled the flames with a water jet, successfully preventing the fire from extending to adjacent apartments.

Victim Treated for Smoke Inhalation

Rescue teams found the woman alert at the location and transported her to Singapore General Hospital due to smoke inhalation. Following her treatment, she was arrested in relation to the incident.
