Economic, investment and trade relations are expected to be among the main priorities in the next phase of cooperation. Both countries aim to explore opportunities by using their respective economic strengths and available resources. Stronger business engagement could help expand commercial exchanges and create new areas of partnership between Oman and Brunei.
The two countries are also looking to deepen cooperation in energy, tourism, education and culture. These sectors have been identified by Oman’s foreign minister as important areas for future engagement. The focus will be on making better use of the capabilities available in both countries while responding to changing economic and technological developments.
The minister also highlighted the importance of technological progress and artificial intelligence in developing bilateral cooperation. These areas could support future collaboration across economic and other sectors. However, the statement did not announce specific technology projects, agreements or financial commitments.
Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi said Oman and Brunei share similar views on supporting dialogue and international cooperation. He stressed the importance of continued consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest. According to the minister, closer diplomatic engagement can contribute to regional and international security and stability.
The Omani foreign minister expressed confidence that the Sultan’s visit would strengthen relations and open wider opportunities for cooperation and partnership.
