Two people were injured after debris from two intercepted ballistic missiles fell in southern Saudi Arabia on Sunday, October 25, 2026. According to Saudi authorities cited by Arab News, the injured included a Saudi citizen and an Asian expatriate resident. The debris fell in Khamis Mushayt and Ahad Rafidah, prompting reports of damage to nearby homes and vehicles.
A spokesperson for Saudi Civil Defense said three residential buildings and seven vehicles sustained damage from the falling debris. Authorities reported the injuries and property damage but did not provide further details about the condition of those injured. The incident highlights the potential risks posed by falling debris even when missiles are intercepted before reaching their intended targets.

The incident followed similar interceptions on Saturday, October 24, when debris from two Houthi ballistic missiles fell at several locations in western Saudi Arabia. According to the Civil Defense spokesperson, some debris landed in Wadi Al-Mughammas, around 20 kilometres from the Grand Mosque in Makkah. Other reported locations included the Al-Nuzha neighbourhood in Jeddah, Wadi Jalil in Taif and Masturah in Rabigh governorate.
Saudi Civil Defense did not report any casualties from Saturday’s debris incidents and did not provide details about property damage. The reported locations included areas near Makkah, one of Islam’s most important holy cities. The authorities’ statements focused on the locations where debris fell and the response to the incidents.
The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said on Sunday that it had intercepted and destroyed two drones and a ballistic missile launched toward Riyadh, as well as a cruise missile heading toward Khamis Mushayt in southern Saudi Arabia. The coalition later reported intercepting 10 ballistic missiles fired toward southern Saudi Arabia.
According to the report, the Iran-backed Houthi movement has increased its attacks against Saudi Arabia in recent weeks, with targets reportedly including airports, energy infrastructure and civilian sites. The report also referred to launches directed toward Makkah and Madinah. These developments have kept regional security and the protection of civilian areas in focus.
The latest incident resulted in injuries to two residents and damage to residential buildings and vehicles. Saudi authorities’ reports underline the importance of monitoring falling debris after missile interceptions and assessing potential risks to civilian areas. Further details about the damage and the injured people were not included in the supplied report.
