Oman Customs has carried out a major anti-smuggling operation, leading to the seizure of a large quantity of smuggled tobacco derivatives.
During the operation, customs officials also confiscated 302 cartons of cigarettes that had been stored with the intention of being distributed illegally. The seizure was part of ongoing efforts to prevent the circulation of smuggled tobacco products.
Authorities confirmed that the tobacco derivatives and the 302 cartons of cigarettes were being kept for unlawful distribution. The illegal products were intercepted before they could be supplied through unauthorized channels.

The successful operation resulted in the confiscation of all seized items as part of enforcement measures against smuggling activities.
Following the seizure, Oman Customs said that all necessary legal procedures have been initiated against those involved in the case.
The department has not released additional details about the individuals connected to the operation but confirmed that the required legal action is being taken in accordance with the applicable procedures.
