Oman and Comoros Conclude Joint Military Exercise

Joint Military Exercise Concludes in Oman

The Royal Army of Oman and the Land Forces of the Union of the Comoros have concluded the joint military exercise “Shuja’a Al Sahel/1” at Al Jabal Al Akhdar in Oman. The exercise was held with support from the Royal Air Force of Oman and involved military units from both countries.

Senior Military Leaders Attend Exercise

The conclusion ceremony was held under the patronage of Major General Matar bin Salem Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman. The Commander of the Defence Force of the Union of the Comoros was also present during the concluding activities.

Exercise Included Multiple Training Stages

During the event, the military commanders received a briefing on the progress of the exercise and its different stages. The activities were conducted according to plans prepared for the exercise and were designed to meet the intended training objectives.

Training Simulated Operational Environments

The exercise included several training areas designed to simulate virtual operational environments. These scenarios were intended to provide participating forces with training conditions relevant to their respective military roles.

Oman and Comoros Strengthen Military Coordination

The participation of Omani and Comorian forces provided an opportunity for personnel from both countries to train together and coordinate their activities. Joint exercises can also provide participating military units with experience in working through planned operational scenarios.

Military Leaders Discuss Common Matters

During the conclusion of the exercise, Major General Matar bin Salem Al Balushi received the Commander of the Defence Force of the Union of the Comoros. The two sides held discussions and exchanged views on a number of military matters of common interest.

Exercise Highlights Bilateral Defence Cooperation

The conclusion of Shuja’a Al Sahel/1 highlights continued military cooperation between Oman and the Union of the Comoros. The exercise provided a structured setting for training, coordination and the exchange of military experience between participating forces.
