Flight Operations Halted at Kuwait International After Missile Attacks

Kuwait's Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has initiated its emergency response plan after Iranian missiles and drones targeted Terminal One of Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday, leading to casualties and substantial damage to the airport infrastructure.

A PACA representative, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, confirmed that emergency protocols were swiftly enacted to safeguard passengers, personnel, and critical assets following the incident. The response aligns with pre-established emergency guidelines.

As a precautionary measure due to the current security situation, all flight operations at Kuwait International Airport have been halted. Flights are being rerouted to adjacent airports until further notice, as authorities strive to stabilize the situation and ensure safety.

Al-Rajhi mentioned that plans for security and technical contingencies are underway to facilitate the future resumption of operations at the airport. Technical teams are now assessing the level of damage incurred from the missile and drone attack before commencing any repairs.

No timeline has been given for the reopening of the airport, and evaluations of the impacted facilities continue.
