Unique Albino Buffalo 'Donald Trump' Rescued Ahead of Eid

Post by : Shakul

In a remarkable act of intervention, authorities in Bangladesh have successfully saved a rare albino buffalo, affectionately dubbed “Donald Trump.” Just hours before it was due to be sacrificed during Eid celebrations, officials stepped in to secure the animal’s future.

Weighing 700 kilograms, this striking buffalo has become a sensation across social media, thanks to its unusual white coat and long blond hair reminiscent of the U.S. President’s hairstyle.

As its popularity soared through images and videos, the buffalo drew visitors nationwide, becoming a highlight during the Eid festivities. Responding to the growing public interest and recommendations from conservationists, the government took swift action to ensure the animal's safety.

The buffalo was named by its owner’s brother due to its distinctive hair, which quickly caught media attention, turning the nickname into a household name throughout Bangladesh.

After being taken into custody by local police, plans were enacted for the buffalo’s transfer to the Dhaka National Zoo. Officials believe it can play a crucial role in education and conservation, serving as a rare example of albinism in livestock.

The decision has sparked discussions nationwide. Animal advocates have celebrated the move as a vital step for biodiversity, emphasizing the importance of preserving rare breeds, especially during festive seasons like Eid.

With the unique buffalo's arrival at the zoo, authorities are committed to providing specialized care and ongoing monitoring. The story of “Donald Trump” continues to capture hearts, extending far beyond Bangladesh and emphasizing the rising importance of animal welfare and conservation.
