AI Workshop at Dubai Press Club: A New Approach for Media Professionals

Dubai: The Dubai Press Club (DPC) recently conducted a session as a part of its innovative ‘Media Workshops’ program, aimed at exploring the influence of artificial intelligence in the realms of media and digital content. The session, titled ‘Artificial Intelligence… Simplified’, was facilitated by Emirati content creator Ebrahim Bolehyool, gathering professionals and creators in the vibrant setting of the Dubai Press Club.

This workshop delved into the swift transformation AI is causing in the media sphere, aiding creators in generating text, images, and video content more effectively. Participants actively engaged in discussions about the practical applications of AI tools and their growing importance in contemporary content creation processes.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, expressed that the rapid advancement and expanding capabilities of artificial intelligence have garnered global attention. She noted that the session was tailored to offer professionals an accessible understanding of how AI tools can enhance their workflow and elevate the quality of their content.

Moreover, she emphasized the Dubai Press Club's dedication to staying abreast of trends shaping the media landscape while promoting exchanges of knowledge between media professionals and technology experts.

During the workshop, Ebrahim Bolehyool shared insights from his experiences with generative AI technologies aimed at raising community awareness. He articulated how AI operates in straightforward terms, underscoring its reliance on data, algorithms, and neural networks to efficiently analyze information and produce content.

Participants were introduced to notable AI platforms, such as Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, and ElevenLabs. The dialogues revolved around leveraging these tools to enrich creative endeavors and transform concepts into captivating visual and audio content tailored for diverse audiences.

Bolehyool also remarked on the necessity of human creativity in conjunction with AI, advocating that the synergy of imaginative thinking and AI can lead to the creation of more innovative, impactful, and unique content in the dynamic digital media landscape.
