Breaking visuals show two foreign‑flagged oil tankers ablaze in Iraqi territorial waters near the al‑Faw port following a suspected strike, sending towering flames and thick black smoke across the Gulf.

Authorities evacuated 25 crew members, but at least one sailor has died as firefighting teams battle to contain the fire and secure the vessels. Iraqi officials condemned the attack as a “cowardly act of sabotage” violating the country’s sovereignty.
