Bahrain King Welcomes QOC President During Youth Games Event

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, on Wednesday. The meeting took place in the presence of senior dignitaries and heads of delegations participating in the 3rd Asian Youth Games, currently being held in Bahrain. The royal reception highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting sports and strengthening regional sporting ties.

King Hamad warmly welcomed the QOC President and all attending delegates. He expressed his gratitude for their presence and participation, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between countries in supporting youth sports development. The King praised the collaborative spirit of the event and its role in fostering camaraderie among young athletes from across Asia.

In response, Sheikh Joaan and other senior guests conveyed their happiness at being in Bahrain for the Games. They expressed appreciation for the warm reception and lauded Bahrain’s efforts in organizing the continental sporting event. Delegation heads highlighted the significance of the Games in providing young athletes with international exposure and competition experience.

The 3rd Asian Youth Games bring together athletes from numerous Asian countries to compete in various sports disciplines. The event aims to develop youth talent, promote fair play, and strengthen sporting relationships across the continent. Leaders attending the opening and associated events reinforce the importance of sports diplomacy in uniting nations and inspiring the next generation.

During the meeting, discussions also touched on ensuring the smooth conduct of the Games and providing optimal facilities and support for all participating delegations.
